Canberra Carpet

Overview

At Canberra Carpet, we want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchases. Please choose carefully, as we do not offer refunds for cut rolls or runners of merchantable quality items. This is because these items are cut to order before the installation date and will only suit your job. They cannot be resold. We also do not offer refunds on stock orders of merchantable quality as any stock ordered in is ordered in for your requirements. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

For rugs in stock, we offer exchanges within 24 hours of the original purchase date. The rug must be clean and unused in its original condition and packed to protect from dirt and grime. You must provide proof of purchase. Please contact us to arrange the exchange and we will be happy to help. For special stock orders, we do not offer refunds on merchantable quality goods.

For DIY flooring please allow extra flooring for your area as you will need some off cuts for cutting and are well advised to keep some extra flooring on site for repairs and future alterations. Please do not over order as we do not accept returns for over purchasing. Job lots are sold as a job lot and cannot be partially returned. Product dye lots can change often and our stock management requires us to provide matching dye lots.

If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us immediately. We will arrange for a replacement or repair of the item as soon as possible.

Please note: all cut stock carpet rolls are checked during cutting process for flaws or damage.

Please note that all return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

As a company operating in Australia, we follow the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as the foundation of our sales policy. The ACL sets out a range of protections and guarantees for consumers, including the right to receive goods and services that are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match any description provided.

It’s important to note that the ACL is not just a set of guidelines, but a legal framework that can be enforced by the courts. This means that our sales policy is not just a matter of company policy but also a legal obligation.

Furthermore, the Australian Consumer Law takes precedence over any policy or contract that may attempt to limit or restrict a consumer’s rights or protections. This means that if there is any conflict between our sales policy and the Australian Consumer Law, the law will always prevail.

In summary, by following the Australian Consumer Law, we are committed to providing fair and transparent sales policies that protect our customers’ rights. And as a company operating in Australia, we understand that the law always overrides any policy or contract that falls short of the legal requirements. Any changes in Australian consumer law since writing this document would take precedence over these terms and conditions.

Thank you for choosing Canberra Carpet. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you again in the future.
